Successful Premiere of the German Ball

The Brief:

The inaugural German Ball Saigon 2013 was co-hosted by the German Business Association (GBA) and the German Industry and Commerce (GIC-AHK) in cooperation with Terraverde, kickstarting the beginning of a much publicized and highly anticipated annual event on Saigon’s social calendar.

Execution:

It was held at the luxurious InterContinental Asiana Saigon Hotel. Among the 400 guests were the CEOS and top executives of Fortune 500 companies and other high-powered members of the local and expat community. A full cocktail reception greeted guests, leading to a four course gala dinner prepared by the InterContinental executive chef Eric Fettke featuring the finest modern German cuisine. After dinner, the guests-of-honor of the year began the most magical part of the evening by opening the dance floor to all the guests. Starting with an elegant waltz with Classical Orchestra, the music extended to the stylish, funky, fresh sounds of the Ladies Band Princess Cut and the legendary music of Backhaus Music Company. 

We worked closely with GBA and AHK Vietnam to envision the luminous evening. Creating this exclusive black-tie experience required the high-touch expertise of our event experts, who pulled their extensive knowledge from the luxury-travel branch of our company.

One of the things Terraverde went beyond the normal scope was stepping in at a crucial moment of the planning to help our clients GBA and AHK source much needed sponsors. With our help, the Ball was supported by prestigious brands including Becks, Bosch, Rödl & Partner, Deutsches Haus Vietnam, Emirates, B.Braun, Samhammer, and VietThuong.

 To take the event to the next level, we designed a special lounge equipped with the best cigars and premium champagne for our guests to enjoy while socializing with one another at this night for Saigon high society. Ballroom dancing classes were offered in the full four weeks leading up to the ball in order for guests to learn how to partner dance and prepare to have an incredible time at the event, and also served as a wonderful opportunity for guest to meet one another. 

This inaugural gala in 2013 was a great success and set a new milestone of an exquisite European traditional gala in full German spirit in Saigon.
